Several years of warm winter put Chinese down wear companies into stock crisis, as most of the companies highly rely on the change of weather. Since 2006, Chinese down wear industry did not seem to have a future after 3 consecutive years of decline in down wear sales. However, the situation appeared to turn the corner in 2009. The unexpected early arrival of cold weather helped these down wear companies to achieve outbreaks in sales only within a month.
Is it still difficult for the industry to change their dependency on weather? What can these companies do besides expecting a cold winter?
In 2009, some companies tried to make difference and they finally succeeded, which might offer something for China's down wear industry to think about its future development.
